  Thanks for your write-up on this blog. From my experience, often times softening up a photograph might provide the digital photographer with a chunk of an creative flare. Sometimes however, that soft blur isn't what precisely you had planned and can usually spoil an otherwise good photo, especially if you consider enlarging it.
