The Burial League Fund
The Burial League Fund is an effort to assist with the burial of members of Church of God by Faith. The Fund was conceived over 50 years ago.
Assessments

Effective September 1, 2017 the following are the assessments for Burial League Certificates:

$1000.00 Certificate the New Premium/Assessment is $4.00/month
$2000.00 Certificate the New Premium/Assessment is $8.00/month.
$3000.00 Certificate the New Premium/Assessment is $11.00/month.

Effective January 1, 2018 all assessments must be paid Quarterly, Semi-Annually or Annually:

Payment of Assessments:

1.       Assessments shall be made by each member of the Burial League Fund with a $1000.00 certificate the amount of:
2.       $48.00 annually and must paid between January first (1st) and tenth (10th).
3.       $24.00 semi-annually and must be paid January first (1st) and tenth (10th) and July first (1st) and tenth (10th)
4.       $12.00 quarterly and must be paid by January tenth 10th, April tenth (10th), July tenth (10th) and October tenth (10th).  
5.       Assessments shall be made by each member of the Burial League Fund with a $2000.00 certificate the amount of:
6.       $96.00 annually and must paid between January first (1st) and tenth (10th).
7.       $48.00 semi-annually and must be paid January first (1st) and tenth (10th) and July first (1st) and tenth (10th)
8.       $24.00 quarterly and must be paid by January tenth 10th, April tenth (10th), July tenth (10th) and October tenth (10th).  
9.       Assessments shall be made by each member of the Burial League Fund with a $3000.00 certificate amount of:
10.   $132.00 annually and must paid between January first (1st) and tenth (10th).
11.   $66.00 semi-annually and must be paid January first (1st) and tenth (10th) and July first (1st) and tenth (10th)
12.   $33.00 quarterly and must be paid by January tenth 10th, April tenth (10th), July tenth (10th) and October tenth (10th).  
13.   All such assessments shall be paid by each member Via Nowcerts or to the Secretary or other designated person, of the member’s home church as stated above.
Frequently Asked Questions

Q.      When are new assessments effective?
A.      New assessments are effective September 1, 2017.

Q.      What if a member has already paid their assessment for the entire year?
A.      The member is grandfathered in until next year.

Q.      When will the Semi-Annual and Annual payment plan start?
A.      January 1, 2018.

Q.      Is the Burial League Plan accepting new members?
A.      No.  All new membership is suspended until further notice.

Q.      When will the plan start accepting new members again?
A.      No set timetable at this time.  We will continue to review.

Q.      What if a member doesn’t want to pay the new assessment?
A.      Failure to pay assessment will terminate their certificate.

Q.      If a member is not happy, can they cancel their certificate?
A.      Yes.  Request must be submitted in writing to the General Office.

Q.      If a member cancel their certificate, will they get any money back?
A.      No.

Q.      Can a member pay their annual assessment in full?
A.      Yes.

Q.      I have a paid-up certificate, am I impacted?
A.      No.

John Robinson, III was called into ministry in 1988 and ordained as an Elder in 1994. Over the past 30 years, he has pastored churches in Belle Glade, Delray Beach and presently in Boynton Beach, FL. He served as Assistant Superintendent of the Florida East Coast District and is the present Superintendent. He received his Master of Divinity Degree from Faith Bible College and is a renowned speaker in several states.

Theodore Chamberlain accepted the position as a member of COGBF Benefits Board of Directors in January 2018. He is a retiree of the U.S. Navy, and currently is employed by the U.S. Postal Service as well as the pastor of Prosperity Lighthouse Church of God by Faith New Brockton, AL. Pastor Chamberlain and his wife, Deborah, live in Crestview, FL.

His career history spans over 25 years in helping families with investing and providing retirement advice. Alex is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV.

Karla currently serves on the COGBF National Scholarship Committee. She also serves in various capacities under the leadership of Ruling Elder David C. Rourk. Married to the love of her life Jonathan and mother to daughter, Madisyn.

Vanessa is employed as the Office Manager at Professional Plus Realty in Tifton, Ga where she has devoted 14 years in acquiring knowledge in both real estate and investment. She is married to Elder Danny Patterson. Her charismatic personality gives her the ability to never meet a stranger. Over the years, Vanessa has been a devoted wife and mother. She currently serves at Grace Fellowship Ministries COGBF in Tifton, GA as the financial secretary, youth leader and youth Sunday school teacher.
