One in seven spends over ten hours each week with their
eyes glued to their phones playing a game.

It also emerged that casual gamers typically download
two new gaming apps on their device each month.

Sam Cross of Guru Arcade, makers of mobile game
Pop Rocket Rescue, said: 'You can play a mobile game anytime, anywhere,
    since smartphones are so portable.

Forty-one percent of people have played a mobile game for up to three
    hours in one sitting.

    TEN BIGGEST SELLING GAMES

    1. Candy Crush Saga

    2. Angry Birds

    3. Words with Friends

    4. Clash of Clans

    5. Plants vs. Zombies

    6. The Walking Dead

    7. Fruit Ninja

    10. Draw Something

'Mobile games are designed to be played in small chunks of time, while waiting
    or taking a break. It's bite-sized fun.'

The average person is most likely to play a mobile game between 1pm and 2pm,
although one in five plays 'any time' of the day and one in eight prefers to play between the hours
    of 9pm and midnight.

Forty-one percent have played a mobile game for up to three
    hours in one sitting.

Eighty-one percent can't resist the fun these games provide
and 42 percent play because it's exercise for the brain - but
their fun can sometimes mean 'game over' in a different sense.

From getting fired from work, to arriving late or completely missing
an event, 27 per cent confess that their mobile game playing has
    gotten them into trouble.

In the UK, an Ofcom study recently found 16 per cent of
adults now exclusively use smartphones or tablets to go
online, a 10 per cent increase on last year.

    AMERICA'S INTERNET ADDICTION

One-fifth of all Americans reported to being on the internet 'almost constantly',
with young adults making up the largest percentage of this category.

The majority of Americans - 73 per cent - indicated that they go online
on a daily basis, and many go on several times per day.

A Pew Research Center survey collected data
from internet users between June and July 2015, and confirmed that Americans are constantly logging in.

Young people are the most connected; the study found that 36
per cent of people ages 18 to 29 are online almost constantly, and 50 per cent go on several times per day.

Teens and adults were found to share similar internet habits, with
24 percent of teenagers reporting almost constant use, and adults coming in at a similar figure.

The study also found half of adults (51 per cent) who use
search engines do not realise the top items on many results
pages are adverts or sponsored links.

The figures are from Ofcom's Adults' Media
    Use And Attitudes Report.

'This indicates these devices are not just supplementing PCs and laptops, but are starting to replace them,' the regulator said.

'There is a need for people to be more aware or savvy about the content they are
    accessing online'.

Another Chelsea win, another moment to illustrate the superhuman brilliance of N'Golo Kante.

Shortly before half-time, Kante did something almost unthinkable - he miscontrolled the ball, sending it flying off 15 yards
in front of him towards the corner.

Most players would have given it up for a goal kick then and there, forcing
a sheepish smile as the crowd cheered ironically. Not Kante.

N'Golo Kante produced another brilliant performance as Chelsea beat West Ham
    2-1

The French midfielder has shown consistent excellent throughout the season

Chelsea have re-established their 10-point advantage at the
    top of the Premier League

The Chelsea midfielder sprinted off in pursuit, rescued the lost cause, made Sofiane
Feghouli look like a dunce twice, and played a perfect pass to the feet of
    Eden Hazard.

Naturally, the 10-second clip went viral on social media.
'Kante's so good, he has started playing passes to himself,' joked the disbelieving masses.

Even manager Antonio Conte dissolved into a fit of laughter when asked
whether he could find any fault with Kante's performance.

'He made five mistakes. He has to improve on this. He has to improve,' said the Italian with tongue in cheek.

'I am joking. But I have to find one situation to tell him to improve.
    He's playing really well.'

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte joked afterwards there
is room for Kante to improve

Kante challenges the West Ham captain Mark Noble during Monday night's match

The France international keeps a close eye on West Ham striker Andy Carroll
    during the game

Playing so well, in fact, that the (almost) unimprovable Kante must surely clean up at the Player of the Year awards between now and the
    end of the season.

As Chelsea re-established a double-figure advantage at the top of the Premier League following
their 2-1 win at the London Stadium, their goalscorers Hazard and Diego Costa are inevitably in the running for the
    gongs.

It's a whole lot harder to earn recognition in such things
when you don't score goals or ping 60-yard passes, but Kante is deserving for the consistent excellence he continues to
    show.

Let's look at the stats. Kante has made 94 tackles in his 26 Premier League games this
season, the second highest in the division behind Everton's Idrissa Gueye (102).

Kante ranks among the Premier League's best tacklers and
    interceptors this season

A woman who married her high school bully has opened up about how he ultimately won her heart after tormenting her for months
as a teen by calling her mean names and posting nasty things about
    her online.

Lauren Enslow, 20, from Saratoga Springs, Utah,
has fallen in love with Lucas Olsen, 21 - despite the fact that he and his friends relentlessly bullied her when she was just 15.

Lucas and his pals would mock Lauren by calling her 'Linda' - after the cartoon character from Bob's Burgers - and he would
even take videos of her at school and share them to
his Snapchat while making fun of her.

But after Lauren got into a car accident in November 2017, Lucas reached out with words of sympathy for
her - sparking a friendship between them that would soon turn into something much more.

The duo realized in February 2018 that they had romantic feelings for one another, and they quickly began dating.

Lucas Olsen, 21 - despite the fact that he and his friends relentlessly bullied her when she was just 15

Lucas and his pals would mock Lauren by calling her 'Linda' - after the
cartoon character from Bob's Burgers - and he would even take videos of her at school and share them to his Snapchat

Lucas then proposed to Lauren on top of a mountain in July 2022, and they tied the knot in October of the same year - the same date that they met six years prior.

And now that they are husband and wife, there's no hard feelings about the rocky start to their romance,
with Lauren insisting that all has been forgiven.

'It's funny that I can call him my high school bully
and high school sweetheart,' Lauren, who works as a content creator, said
recently. 'I have forgiven him. I'll still tease him about it sometimes.'

While Lauren admitted that she 'hated him' when they were younger, she said that a 'soft spot' developed after they got in touch following her
    accident.

'We ended up developing feelings for each other,
' she explained. 'People say they would never have forgiven him, but I can't base his personality
off who he was for three months when he was 16.'

Lucas added: 'Looking back now I just think it
was silly. When you are that young you think things like
that are funny. And of course, me and my friends thought it was funny.

'I never actually thought she looked like that
cartoon character, my friends and I were just coming up with characters to compare Lauren and
all her friends to as a joke, that ended up going a little too
    far.

'I teased her because in the moment I think
it was a mix of [liking] her and because my
friends were doing it as well. Peer pressure in a way.'

But after Lauren got into a car accident in November 2017, Lucas reached out with words of sympathy for her - sparking a friendship between them that would soon turn into romance

    - the same date that they met six years prior

And now that they are husband and wife, there's no hard feelings about the rocky
start to their romance, with Lauren insisting that all has been forgiven

The pair first met in October 2016, at a mutual friend's party, and they started chatting over Snapchat.

However, Lauren decided she that didn't want a boyfriend at the time and ultimately shut him down.

But when she started high school in September 2017, she and Lucas found each
other in the same friend group, and the nonstop teasing soon ensued.

'It was really awkward for me,' she said.
'Him and his friends started to tease me. He used to call me Linda from Bob's Burgers and I didn't
like being compared to her at all.

'Lucas would film me and put it on his Snapchat without me knowing.

At this point, I hated him. I wanted nothing to do
    with him.'

But things changed after Lucas witnessed Lauren getting into a car accident in November 2017, alongside her mom Jessica Enslow,
48, and sister, Alyssa Kimber, 28.

'We were in a parking lot and saw him,' Lauren recalled. 'My
sister thought it was funny to roll down the window and
    call out his name.

'Seconds later we were in a car crash. No one was seriously
injured by the cars were messed up.'

While Lauren admitted that she 'hated him' when they were younger,
she said that a 'soft spot' developed after they got in touch following her
    accident

After the accident, the pair 'started hanging out and having lots of fun,' and they
eventually started to fall for one another

Lauren shared a picture of the banged up car on her Snapchat, and
was surprised when Lucas reached out.

Now, they are happily married and 'excited' for what the future holds

'He asked if I was OK. It showed he cared, it helped me like him
    again,' she added.

After the accident, the pair 'started hanging out and having lots of
fun,' and they eventually started to fall for one another. Now,
they are happily married and 'excited' for what the
    future holds.

'People say they could never marry their high school bully, but for me,
it was mostly teasing, and I got past it,' Lauren concluded

Lucas added: 'There was always feelings for her but I think once
we both were wanting the same thing, life just did it's thing.

'I'm a strong believer of everything happens
for a reason and I love that it finally happened.

'Marrying your high school sweetheart is the most beautiful thing I could ever dream for.

'Lauren is awesome and I couldn't ask for a better person to experience the rest of my life with.

'I want a family with Lauren, I'm excited to build a house and watch the rest of our dreams come
    true.'
